European Employment Forum

The European Employment Forum

An annual conference and exhibition focusing on the major social and economic issues surrounding employment and creating an effective discussion and meeting forum.

New venue!

The Forum is moving to the newly-redesigned and refurbished SQUARE, in the centre of Brussels. This is the former Brussels Palais des Congrès, where the event started many years ago.

SQUARE is ideally situated for easy access:

- Brussels International Airport just 17 minutes away by direct train shuttle to Brussels Central, the railway station directly opposite SQUARE

- National and international high-speed rail connections from Brussels Central (www.nmbs.be; www.thalys.com; www.eurostar.com)

- 660 car parking spaces beneath SQUARE giving easy access to the building

- Many metro links, bus and tram stops nearby

The conference

The two-day conference features a broad international panel of speakers presenting current thinking and policy, with the European Commission Directorate Generals well represented. During the November 2010 conference, speakers participated from DG Education & Culture; DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities; DG Enterprise; DG Environment and DG Regional Policies.

In addition, the event attracts a wide range of individuals, businesses, social partners and government policy makers from across the EU and beyond

This year's event will take place at SQUARE Brussels on 22-23 November. An outline conference programme will be announced in the spring, following the first Advisory Committee meeting in February.
